iOS 11, came hand in hand with support for the H.265 format, a codec that compresses images while maintaining quality but occupying half the space. These images do not offer us the traditional JPG format, but rather use the HEIF format, a format used by the iPhone, if we have previously configured our device to use it through the camera options.
The problem that we find with this format is that most operating systems are not compatible with it, except macOS High Sierra. But it is not the only one, since when sharing them, we are forced to convert them to a JPG format so that the receiver of them can view them without any problem.
Although it is true that through the Photos application of macOS High Sierra, we can export the images in JPG format, for many users it may not be intuitive or as fast as we could wish, especially if we are forced to convert a large number of them. AnyConv, allows us to convert images individually, in blocks or entire directories quickly and easily.
This application allows us to convert HEIC to JPG, JPEG or PNG format, maintaining the quality of the images at all times. The operation of the application is very simple, since we only have to open the application, drag the files in HEIC format and click on the Convert button, so that AnyConv does the rest.
